We know that medication has a monumental effect on the way a person experiences his or her life, and we want to make sure that our customers get the absolute best one-on-one service possible.

Customer Care designated as “Fit-Friendly”!

Customer Care has been recognized as a Gold Level Recipient of the American Heart Association’s Start! Fit-Friendly Companies Recognition program.

The Start! Fit-Friendly Companies Program is a catalyst for positive change in American business. Companies throughout the nation can be part of the Start! movement by demonstrating progressive leadership by making the health and wellness of their employees a priority.

Customer Care qualified by fulfilling these requirements:

  • Offering employees physical activity support
  • Increasing healthy eating options at the work site
  • Promoting a wellness culture
  • Implementing at least nine criteria as outlined by the AHA in the areas of physical activity, nutrition, and culture
“Because we are a health care company, it is especially important that we ‘walk the talk’ when it comes to good health practices,” said Rosemarie Donzanti, Vice President, Customer Care. “We are extremely honored that Customer Care achieved this designation, and it is a testament to our efforts to promote physical activity and employee wellness at our sites.”

Some of the activities in Care that helped capture the designation are promoting walking clubs, allowing walking shoes on certain casual days and stocking vending machines with healthy food choices. CVS Caremark also is a corporate sponsor at the local level of the Start! Program in Nashville. And this weekend, the Nashville Call Center has 13 colleagues running in the Country Music Marathon, and Care is sponsoring a water stop at the event.

Care awarded for being fit-friendly—Howard McLure, President, Caremark Pharmacy Services, accepts the Start! Fit-Friendly company award from Michelle Moschel, Vice President, AHA Metro Nashville, at an American Heart Association breakfast April 16 in Nashville.
